Kings is a relatively young congregation. Officially constituted in 1990 by the Presbytery of Halifax and Lunenburg, we became the first congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Canada in the Annapolis Valley in 65 years. On Christmas Eve 1999, we opened the doors (which were actually propped against the wall) for our very first service. We were full to capacity. In 2000, we officially opened our doors (now fully attached) for worship.
Kings is an inclusive community of believers and welcomes individuals and families who come from various backgrounds. We try to live our faith as an expression of who we are as people loved by God, witnessing the life and presence of Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We are blessed to be able to worship in a beautiful church, with high, clear glass windows that bring powerful reminders of God’s creation right into the sanctuary. Our fresh, bright exterior says “Welcome” to all who pass by.
